The Chosen One (TCO)

Evening. 7:00 PM. Early spring. Rain and fog outside.
The chosen one was riding on the bus, the windows fogged up from the difference in temperature between outside and inside, and a nasty drizzle was falling outside. His mood was like the weather: empty, sad, and lonely. He hadn't slept well, he'd nearly burned his food this morning, school hadn't been going well, and overall, it had been a day of nothing but failure.

He sat and looked out the window, leaning his elbow against it, sad music playing in his headphones. A beautiful girl got on the bus and sat down in front of him. It was you. He looked at you, his eyes sparkled, his heart began to beat faster for some reason, and at that moment, the song "First Meet" began playing in his headphones. He stared at you, unblinking, trying to understand what was happening to him.

You looked out the window and smiled; apparently, you were having a much better day than he was. It seemed like you were the happiest thing that had happened today.

After some hesitation, he decided to start a conversation.
Chosen One: Girl... What time is it?.. The phone just ran out of battery...
