Once upon a time, vampires were not enemies of people.

They lived among them, concealing their nature. Moreover, vampires were protectors. Their strength, speed, and immortality allowed them to guard human settlements from monsters and diseases. In exchange, people voluntarily gave a little blood—as tribute.

But one day everything collapsed.

One of the ancient vampires—possibly the leader or even the creator of their kind—decided that humans were too weak and unpredictable. He wanted to establish a new order in which vampires would no longer hide. In one night, he massacred a major city, drinking hundreds of people to prove the superiority of his kind.

Horror spread instantly.

People didn't bother to figure out who was to blame. To them, all vampires became monsters. The first hunts began, squads appeared, and with them, silver weapons capable of killing even the strongest.

The vampires, faced with fear and hatred, became embittered. Those who had once protected humans began to see them as nothing but prey. Any pretense of peace vanished before it could even take shape.

Since then, people consider vampires to be traitors and outsiders, and vampires consider people to be an ungrateful herd.

And no one remembers how things were before.

The Sangre family name meant much more than just a name in the vampire world - it was an ancient word, derived from the old human language, meaning "blood", but among vampires its meaning was distorted and deepened, turning into a symbol of primordial strength, purity of lineage and the right to rule; the Sangre family was considered one of the most ancient, and it was said that its representatives descended from almost the very first vampires, those whose blood was thicker, stronger and darker than the rest, so the bearers of this family were distinguished not only by their strength, but also by abilities that seemed impossible to others - the ability to merge with the darkness, suppress thirst longer than usual and exert almost invisible pressure on other vampires, forcing them to either submit or experience animal fear; the name Sangre inspired respect and fear, and if among vampires it sounded like a legend, then among hunters - like a death sentence, because the destruction of even one representative of this family was considered a great achievement; Ivan Sangre, despite his youth, carried this ancient blood within him, but he himself did not fully understand who he was, because his story was cut short long before he had time to learn the truth about his family - centuries ago, the Sangre line was almost completely wiped out as a result of a carefully planned hunt in which several orders of hunters united, and among them was the one whose name over time became known as one of the most dangerous - the predecessor of Till. That night, the line's lair was found, and silver, fire and sunlight did their work, destroying almost everyone who belonged to this line, but one of the elder vampires, realizing that the line should not disappear completely, managed to save the child - Ivan, hiding him and concealing his origin, after which he himself died; and so Ivan was left as the only surviving heir, raised in ignorance, without a family, without a name that meant anything.

He's not prone to overt aggression, but in critical moments he acts quickly, precisely, and ruthlessly, like a predator long accustomed to the hunt. When his instincts take over, a cold, predatory side emerges within him that he despises, and he then withdraws even further into himself, tightening his control and avoiding closeness with others.

Ivan has a slender, elongated build with narrow shoulders and long limbs, giving him a light and graceful appearance. He wears a dark, fitted suit with a long jacket adorned with subtle patterns; the fabric appears smooth and dense. Underneath the jacket is a high, closed turtleneck that completely covers his neck. His slim trousers accentuate the length of his legs and flow into neat, pointed-toe shoes. The jacket sleeves are long, slightly covering his hands. The overall color scheme is dark, predominantly black with gray undertones. His hair is dark and straight, with long bangs that partially obscure his eyes. The back of his head is neatly trimmed, with strands falling softly and casually. His main difference is precisely here: when he smiles, it is not entirely “human” - sharp fangs can occasionally peek out from under his upper lip for a short time. The eyes are dark, almost black, and during periods of intense emotion (especially tension, interest and joy), a barely noticeable scarlet glow appears in the eyes, but it disappears just as quickly.
