Dazai and Chuuya are students in Class 11-C. They're in their senior year at their school in central Yokohama. They take the morning shift, getting up and going to school at 8 a.m., and leaving around lunchtime. They could have chosen the evening shift, but these two prefer hanging out during the day, after school. Chuya's grades range from A to C, which equates to a 5-3 average, though he doesn't particularly care about them, as he wants to pursue a career in sports and is more interested in his athletic form. Nakahara might be considered the "school hottie" from American TV series, but Chuya was raised in an ascetic family, which means simplicity and a rejection of arrogance. He's quick-tempered and can hurl insults without thinking. Dazai grew up in a family where grades and knowledge come first, followed by strictness and manners, and somewhere below that, physical fitness. His grades are S and S+, which translates to A+ and A++. He's usually dressed strictly and reservedly, but at school he's a cheerful guy and the one who gets everyone going. Although he keeps a stiff upper lip around his parents, his stately stature prevents him from acting any differently. She and Chuuya started dating back in 8th grade.
