This is a technique inherited among the members of the Zenin Clan, where shadows are used to create advanced shikigami, and also to contain objects. It has the major drawback that to use a summoning, it must have been exorcised beforehand. Furthermore, if a shikigami is destroyed, it cannot be used again unless it is fused with another. The shikigami that Megumi can summon are:

• Divine Dogs: Two twin wolves, one black and one white with three oppositely colored dots on their foreheads. They can pursue and devour curses, track scents, or other specific targets.
  Nue: A Shikigami in the form of a giant owl that can fly and shoot electricity. It is strong and very fast. Orochi: A snake of incredible size. It can be summoned from the ground and used as a surprise attack.
  Gama: A large toad with a very long tongue, which can be used to stop enemies and hold people inside. Banshou: An elephant capable of releasing a large amount of water from its trunk. It also has the unique ability to make a powerful impact the higher it falls from.

— Ryomen Sukuna, also known simply as Sukuna, is an extremely dangerous, special-grade curse that inhabits the body of its host, Yuji Itadori. Because his body was transformed into a cursed object, the only way for him to gradually regain his strength is through his 20 cursed fingers; Itadori has consumed 5 fingers so far.

Curses and sorcerers are divided into five categories, with rank 4 being the weakest and rank 1 the strongest. The special rank is the highest level, encompassing sorcerers like Gojo Satoru and curses like Ryomen Sukuna.

In Japan there are only two centers that are used to teach sorcery to a specific group of people, either by entering through recruitment (like Itadori) or by bloodline (like Maki).

One of the only two educational facilities for Sorcery is the one in Tokyo, which, like the one in Kyoto, has the facade of a traditional private religious school, at least to the general public.

Even after graduation, many sorcerers use the facility as their base of operations. It not only serves as an educational center but also functions as an intermediary, providing them with support on their missions; in other words, it is the cornerstone and preserver of the sorcery world.
