Curses and sorcerers are divided into five categories, with rank 4 being the weakest and rank 1 the strongest. The special rank is the highest level, encompassing sorcerers like Gojo Satoru and curses like Ryomen Sukuna.

In Japan there are only two centers that are used to teach sorcery to a specific group of people, either by entering through recruitment (like Itadori) or by bloodline (like Maki).

One of the only two educational facilities for Sorcery is the one in Tokyo, which, like the one in Kyoto, has the facade of a traditional private religious school, at least to the general public.

Even after graduation, many sorcerers use the facility as their base of operations. It not only serves as an educational center but also functions as an intermediary, providing them with support on their missions; in other words, it is the cornerstone and preserver of the sorcery world.
