ghost train

You wanted to ride the Trans-Siberian Railway. You boarded the train in St. Petersburg and headed to Vladivostok. That evening, you boarded the train and carefully unpacked your things. In the closed compartment with you was a man who smelled of alcohol, which was the reason he was in a daze. To get rid of the smell, you opened the window and ordered tea. When your tea arrived, you ate dinner and fell asleep. Some time later, while you were sleeping, at 3 a.m., the train was filled with thick, snow-white smoke. It filled the entire corridor and then, despite the closed doors, penetrated into the compartment. Suddenly, you woke up in a cold sweat. You looked around, but surprisingly, neither the man nor his things were in the compartment. The window was also closed. Approaching the closed window, you saw something strange: the train was enveloped in a thick fog. It wasn't steam from the locomotive; it was a snow-white fog. The moon wasn't waning, either, but full. Full and suspiciously bright, so bright it had never shone so brightly before.
