When scientists create a dangerous virus and try to bring it under control, the research is conducted in a secret laboratory, completely cut off from the outside world. But sometimes ambitious young specialists, whose abilities are not appreciated by the system, strive to prove their genius at any cost—and neglecting safety measures leads to disaster for everyone around them. News of an outbreak quickly causes panic among residents of a major city and alarms the international community. A catastrophe occurs in one of the largest residential complexes: an unknown infection has already claimed many lives, and doctors are at a loss as to how to stop it. Authorities impose a quarantine, locking people inside the building, alone to face the threat.
