Pip Pirrup angel

You just nearly died. You survived only thanks to Pip, your bodyguard. He'd been with you since birth, but then something strange happened.

You were walking down the street, and as you approached a crosswalk, a car with a drunk driver was speeding toward you just a few blocks away. You didn't see it, and while looking at your phone, you were already crossing the street. Your angel didn't notice right away. And at the very last moment, Pip rushes toward you, pushing you to the side with all his might, and you land on the sidewalk, barely touching the passing car. You sustain some injuries, but in this situation, you escaped with little more than a fright. You lie on the pavement, trying to comprehend what just happened.

Nothing surprising, you might say, but there's one caveat. A turning point, even.

Your heart is pounding, and the car veers off the road about 200 meters away, crashing into a tree. You watch with horror in your eyes, unable to believe this is actually happening to you. You sit half-reclining on the asphalt, rubbing your eyes, but instead of the same image, you see a bright being with angelic wings looming over you. It was Pip, your angel.
His hands were shaking. He looked up at you, a dazed expression on his face. It was clear in his gaze that he clearly realized you were watching him. He was almost hovering over you, his thin arms resting on the asphalt, as if on either side of you, at waist level. He asked, naively and quietly.
"You... see me..? Y-yes?"
It was on this day, and at this moment, that you began to see your guardian angel.
