The Freak Circus

The Doctor is one of the minor antagonists of Cirque du Freak.

Appearance
The Doctor wears a long, fitted coat with a crimson and black lining(?) fastened with neat rows of gold buttons, and the inside of the hem, from the shoulder to the lower part of the body, is trimmed with a bright blue fabric resembling a cape.

He may be wearing black high-heeled boots and a black plague doctor mask with blue goggles. The doctor also wears red gloves with sharp claws. Red hair appears to be sticking out from under the mask.

Personality
Despite his sadistic tendencies, the Doctor generally remains calm and composed.

The Doctor gets along surprisingly well with the Harlequin. Unlike the others, he's rarely subjected to his teasing, and the Harlequin seems to feel safe around the Doctor. The Doctor sees right through the Harlequin.

Pierrot

The Ticket Taker is one of the minor antagonists of the Cirque Du Freak. He is the oldest of the five participants and the Jester's right-hand man.

Appearance
The Ticket Controller wears a double-sided contrast mask: the right side is jet black with a white mouth, and the left side is white with one black eye and a black mouth.

He wears a dark blue suit with a yellow collar, yellow buttons, and dark blue tails. Underneath the jacket is a black shirt with a yellow frill down the middle of the chest.

His jeans match his suit, and he wears black knee-high boots. On his head, the Ticket Controller wears a dark top hat with a yellow ribbon.

In his visible human form ("Unknown"), he wears a light blue suit with a blue tie and white collar. He has fair skin, his right eye is almost invisible, and his hair is short, straight, and black.

Personality
The Ticketmaster, the Jester's (?) right-hand man, is obedient and devoted to the interests of the circus. He comes across as very mature and professional, and is known for his obsession with cleanliness and order.[3]

The usher appears to be close to Carol, or simply happened to be near Carol when her mask came off. The usher defends her, saying no one is breaking the rules, and tries to pull the host away from Carol.

The ticket taker offers a pink ticket to the café, Pierrot quickly exchanges it for his own, and the ticket taker seems a little shocked by the exchange. The ticket taker often refers to the host as "the guest with the red ticket" and is very interested in him, but at the same time, he worries that the host might harm the circus.

When the circus moves to a new location, the Jester demonstrates an incredible talent for learning languages. In his first days, he collects books and newspapers to begin learning, and then passes them on to others.
The jester and the ticket taker always make a route indicating the next stops of the circus (although they listen to the advice of others).
When it comes to hostility from the public, the Jester has no problem. He knows how to charm the crowd, but when someone tries to offend him, he knows how to turn the tables. Even if it hurts him, he's willing to maintain the circus's image, no matter what.
Each of them has their own tent for rest, located separately from the performance tents, and several vehicles for transporting circus supplies. The Jester always ensures that Pierrot and Harlequin do not cross paths.
He usually leaves the Doctor or the Ticket Taker with the Harlequin so that they don't interfere with him on the way.
The circus can operate as long as it wants, depending on the regional situation. If everything goes according to plan, they usually operate until ticket sales begin to decline.
As for when they'll return to the circus, there's no set time unless they break one of the jesters' rules. Essentially, they're expected to be there during the performances, and the rest of the time, they can do whatever they want.
A jester is someone who assigns roles in a circus.
The reason why the Jester cares about him so much is because he knows very well how "unstable" Pierrot is, so he usually pays a lot of attention to him.

Apparently, the Jester fed Pierrot so he wouldn't die while the humans were enslaving them, before they were forced to kill Columbine. The Jester also established a rule that Pierrot couldn't speak in public to protect the circus. He clearly cares deeply for Pierrot.

He wears a white "mask" with slanted eyes (purple pupils); beneath his left eye, the mask features a purple diamond, while on the right is a sharp, upside-down purple heart, as well as two small purple lines running from the bottom of the "mask" to his mouth.

The "mask" appears to rise upward, creating the illusion of horns above its head, and the "mask's" mouth forms a wide grin with sharp white teeth. The mouth can express other emotions besides a grin, as can the pupils. It is currently unknown whether the "mask" can open its mouth.

The Jester wears a purple and black jester's hat with four different points and bells on each. He wears a suit: the main part is gold/yellow with black trim and a black diamond on the collar. The rest of the suit is purple and black, with short sleeves.

He wears what appear to be black gloves that reach all the way to his sleeves (without exposing any skin), and he also has claws. He wears black and purple baggy pants, the top of the legs black with a yellow stripe that runs to the end of the black section, and the bottom is purple; the pants end just before his knees.

He wears long, black, knee-length boots, both of which have yellow diamonds studded on them, seemingly connecting the trousers to the boots. The boots themselves are massive, shaped like jester's shoes, with bells at the toes.

He appears as a mysterious character who often refers to himself as the circus's leader. Despite being the second-eldest member, the Jester excels at leading the circus and typically maintains his composure in any situation. The Jester is likely a misanthrope, judging by his habit of calling people "tramps."

Pierrot
Pierrot and Harlequin have been rivals ever since they fell in love with Columbine. After Columbine's death, their rivalry intensified.

MC
Harlequin's interest in MC stems from Pierrot's attraction to him and his desire to steal him away from him, even going so far as to sexually harass him. Depending on MC's actions, he may even fall in love with him, even though he initially had no intention of feeling any attraction.

Columbine
Harlequin and Columbine are directly related, judging by the game scenes and dialogues.

In one interpretation of Columbine's death, we see her asking Harlequin to save her, but by "save," he means something entirely different. To "save" Columbine, Harlequin kills her and then, apparently, eats her.

Harlequin was not only present at Columbine's death, but also, apparently, was the cause of her demise. During the Fool's story on the second day, we see him refer to Harlequin as "Poison." We also see the Fool say that Columbine likely died of poison before being eaten.

He doesn't really interact with him unless Harlequin is interfering in his affairs, but otherwise they get along great.

He is calmer because Harlequin does not provoke him often.

Harlequin loves to watch him when he conducts experiments.

Personality
Harlequin seems oblivious to what others think of him; he can be both sadistic and quite playful at the same time. Even off-stage, Harlequin exudes a playful charm. In the first act, he behaves very theatrically, but interacts more casually with his colleagues.

At first, it seems that Harlequin is not very interested in the main character, he is more attracted to the idea of ​​​​having a fling with Pierrot, but depending on how the main character behaves, there is a chance that he will eventually fall in love with him.

Harlequin seems quite comfortable being seductive and affectionate in the presence of the protagonist. He doesn't care if the protagonist is more interested in Pierrot, as he wanted not only to lure him away from Pierrot but also to see Pierrot's reaction. However, he is surprised (or perhaps even pleased) when the protagonist chooses him over Pierrot. Despite his seductive nature, Harlequin is unaccustomed to displays of affection, so when he is embraced, he is surprised/embarrassed.

He wears a white "mask," often with slanted black eyes (with green pupils); the "mask" has two green markings: one triangle-shaped under the left eye and one diamond-shaped above the right eye. Besides a grin, the mouth can express other emotions, as can the pupils. The mouth can open, revealing a forked green tongue.

Harlequin wears a green and black jester's hat with two brims, each with bells attached. Harlequin wears a black cloak with gold trim around the edges (and inside), and on the front of the cloak are two hearts: the left one is upside down, and the right one is normal. He wears a green, black, and yellow suit. The yellow runs down the middle, the black serves as a border at the top, and underneath the black piece of fabric (presumably serving as a belt), the border is yellow.

The main body of the suit is green, and the right side of the suit has vertical green lines running all the way down. It has long sleeves: the left sleeve is green, with a vertical straight line of inverted black hearts running along the sleeve, and the right sleeve is black, with a single vertical straight green line.

The sleeves appear to connect to gloves (no exposed skin). The left glove is black with a green heart on the back of the hand, and the fingers are green. The right glove is green with a black heart on the back of the hand, and the fingers are black. He has claws that are hidden under the gloves, but their shape is still visible (like Pierrot and the Jester).

He wears baggy black pants that reach to his knees; both legs have a gold/yellow heart in the middle. He wears long, jester-like boots that reach to his knees (as if they were connected to the pants): the left one is black with green trim and lacing, and the right one is green with black trim and lacing.

Personality
Pierrot appears very polite and courteous, and is selflessly devoted to those he cares about. However, behind this outward politeness lies an obsession. We see that Pierrot has an unhealthy, maniacal attachment to the protagonist: he secretly watches them while they sleep. It is also implied that he kissed the protagonist in their sleep, but this is up to the player to decide. In some parts of the game, we see Pierrot being extremely protective of the protagonist, as well as Columbine, as shown in a flashback in the final mirror in the Ticket Controller's tent.

Pierrot is madly in love with the protagonist, almost obsessed with him. He stalks him at work, spies on him while he sleeps, and even drugs him and kidnaps him when he tells Pierrot he won't see him the next day. But despite all this, he seems eager to protect him from any imminent danger, especially from Harlequin.

Jester
Apparently, he's an authority figure to him. Pierrot respects him greatly. The Jester is the only person Pierrot relies on more than anyone else in the circus. Pierrot says the Jester is very kind to him.

Harlequin
Pierrot hates him very much. This is the main reason he so fiercely protects the protagonist. It all stems from the trauma he suffered at the hands of his first love, Columbine. It is mentioned that he even stabbed him several times; in one scene, Harlequin takes the protagonist to his tent, and Pierrot catches them doing so and stabs him in the shoulder.

The ticket collector, apparently, is another authority figure for Pierrot. The nature of their relationship is still unknown.

The Freak Circus is a horror-romance visual novel developed by Neko Bueno, with only two episodes available to play through—a sequel is still in development.
Plot
The story revolves around a "horror circus" that has come to town. The protagonist accidentally encounters one of the troupe's clowns and finds himself drawn into a sinister game of kidnappings, murders, and mysticism.
