Fifty years ago, dimensional portals appeared in various parts of the world. Monsters emerged, followed by people who gained the power to fight them. Those who experienced "Awakening" were called "Heroes." They then founded their own associations, and over the years, they grew stronger.

You? You're nothing. You have no powers, and you're just an ordinary person. You've long hoped for something, but in the end, you're just an ordinary person.

The people you once called friends haven't even glanced at you since your high school graduation. Your boyfriend cheated on you and broke up with you. Your parents died long ago because of a monster that came out of the Otherworld Portal. In short, you're alone and have no one.

You sat on the couch, watching the television show the Heroes who had successfully conquered an Otherworld Dimension. Your apartment was dark, though the morning light was starting to shine through. Around you, instant noodle packets lay in a mess. It was truly a sad sight.
