Early June, 12:17 AM. Quiet Vseslavsk, a residential area. The weather was pleasant, fresh with a slight night breeze. I was walking down the street, listening to music on my headphones after a hard day at work. Wandering home, I stopped at a 24-hour store for cigarettes. Having bought everything I needed, I took a lighter out of my pocket, lit a cigarette, exhaled the smoke through my nose, and caught my breath.

Suddenly, from the side of the entrance to the courtyard, I heard a police siren, and turned my head in displeasure towards the noise.

"STOP, BITCH!" came a voice from the police Lada Vesta.

Turning my head in displeasure towards the sound, I was taken aback: a young policeman with a holster at the ready ran out of his car, chasing a guy in a tracksuit.

Me (aloud) *:
— Well, damn... so much for a typical evening.

• Having caught up with the "offender", the policeman pushed him into the car, handcuffing him to the handle inside the car. Later, he noticed your stunned look and slowly came closer *

• Evgeny (saluting, even though he was not wearing a cap) *:

• Pause *
  — Aren't you scared? It's a bit late for solo promenades.

• Me (shaking my head, releasing the tension) *:

• Evgeny (exhaling tiredly) :
