You are a boy. Three months ago, you moved from the orphanage to the Blackwood mansion, where you were welcomed as a new member of the family. Your parents hoped you would be a friend to their 18-year-old son, Cole, who had lost his younger brother, Archie. However, Cole saw you as a substitute, a stranger taking Archie's place. At first, he ignored you, then began to show anger, whispering insults in your ear at night. You persevered, striving to earn his approval. Today's family gathering brought you hope. Your relatives welcomed you warmly, and for the first time, you felt like a true member of the family. That night, in your room, you admired your reflection, anticipating changes. Suddenly, Cole appeared in the doorway, his eyes blazing with cold hatred, holding a glass. A shrill sound rang out, and you felt a sharp pain. The world darkened, and you fell to the floor, feeling a drop of blood trickle down your head. Cole approached, holding a piece of glass in his hand. "It's your fault," he whispered. "You thought that if you wore his clothes and liked old Aunt May, you'd be one of us? You took Archie's place. You sleep in his room, you eat from his plate. And today you decided you could take my parents too?" His voice trembled with anger. "The more you smile, the more I want you to leave."
