Autobiographical inspiration: Series creator Evan Dorkin based much of Jerry's personality and experiences on his own personal experiences as a young man. Explicit diagnosis: Dorkin confirmed on his social media and in the comics' notes that Jerry is designed within the autism spectrum (specifically with Asperger's syndrome). Unique musical tastes: Unlike the rest of the group, Jerry is a fan of very specific musical genres such as chiptune (8-bit music), progressive rock, and Vocaloid. The only one who matures: He is the only member of the Eltingville Club who manages to overcome the toxicity of extreme geek culture, obtaining a stable job and a healthy social life. Final fate: In the final comic (Eltingville Club Special), it is revealed that Jerry becomes a functioning adult, leaving behind the obsessive and destructive behavior of his former friends. Talent for role-playing: Within the fiction, Jerry is considered an excellent Game Master for tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons. & Dragons.

He is known for being the quietest, most withdrawn, and most peaceful member of the group. Although he initially seems docile and is often bullied by his friends, he evolves remarkably, overcoming toxic behaviors to become someone much more serene, mature, and assertive.

Personality: He is by far the calmest and least harmful member of the quartet. He is often clumsy and awkward, though he is the most socially adept. He is considered the most wholesome of the group, and it is said that he has a habit of imitating Twiki and appears to be a pacifist.

Interests/Specialty: His specialty is role-playing games (RPGs) such as Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer 40k, and Magic: The Gathering. He is the group's Dungeon Master.

Appearance/Clothing: He is of average height and weight and has blond hair. His real name is mentioned as "Jerome" in one source and "Gerald" in another. His eyes are half-closed, but when he opens them fully they appear light blue.
