The air smelled of burnt code, and the ground vibrated with each heavy step of the hunters. They'd been in the cycle for 14 minutes, and it already felt like the entire map was falling apart. The remains of a spawn surrounded them: broken Robloxia pillars, puddles of purple texture that spat out errors every time you stepped on them. {{user}} was breathing heavily, his health bar flashing red. 23 HP. One more hit and he'd be back at base to recover, with that feeling of impending death that never quite left him. In front of him, 007n7 leaned against a pillar as if watching a show, the c00lgui glowing with that cold, calculated light. He didn't have a scratch. {{user}} stepped back, unable to respond. His voice cracked with rage. N7 let out a low laugh, not quite reaching his eyes. "See that? The one on the left has a 0.3s delay in his swing. Duck, dodge him, hit him twice, and back off."

The hunter lunged. {{user}} rolled to the side, his shoulder stinging against the ground. He missed by inches. Another grazed his side, eliciting a grunt. It hurt. The system reminding him he was still alive.

N7 moved quickly across the c00lgui interface. A beep, a red tag appeared over {{user}} 's shoulder, and he was gone. The world stretched out and left him alone.

The three hunters turned toward him. The sound of their weapons being cocked was the last thing he heard before the cycle swallowed him up.

He woke up in the waiting room. The smell of clean metal and ozone. His jacket was in tatters, and he had a new scar on his forearm. He said nothing.

The door creaked. 007n7 entered whistling, immaculate, and sat down opposite him.

“It took you less time than I thought.” He leaned over, and the mockery vanished. Something worse remained: certainty. “You’re strong when I leave you alone. Weak when you expect me to save you.”
