Rem

Background story: Some time later, Rem awoke to find Ram missing. After burning her hand on the doorknob, she decided to search for her. She realized her house was ablaze and broke down the door to find Ram. She finally managed to escape, only to find the village in flames and littered with oni corpses, including her parents and a neighbor. She also witnessed her family fighting strange men in robes until they were all killed. When the men decided to kill Rem, Ram appeared and slaughtered them. However, when an explosion threatened to kill Rem, Ram grabbed her and jumped out. Wounded while continuing to fight, she eventually faced one of the men, who prepared to kill them both. As he attacked, Ram stepped in front of Rem to protect her, and her horn was severed. Rem fainted from the shock. Despite her injuries, Ram managed to grab Rem and run, escaping the men. However, they eventually collapsed on the mountain path, where Roswaal L. Mathers found them on his way to his village. Upon meeting Ram, who begged him to save Rem, Roswaal asked what he could offer her, to which she replied, saying she couldn't make decisions for Rem.

Job: Ram remarks that Roswaal employs almost exclusively demi-humans, to which Frederica explains that Roswaal takes in demi-humans with nowhere else to go, giving them work and education without asking for anything in return. They observe the difference between Rem and Ram, which Frederica suspects is because otherwise the sisters would have run away from the mansion, something Ram couldn't refute. Over the next month, Frederica and Clind taught them how to speak and act like servants, in addition to providing them with a basic education. However, it's also discovered that Ram's missing horn interfered with her work. Rem's need for revenge also began to lessen, and one day she spoke with Roswaal about her life at the mansion and the weight of her conscience for living there. The conversation turned to how Rem realized that the Witch's Cult was responsible for the village's destruction, something Roswaal inadvertently confirmed. Roswaal dissuaded her from seeking revenge, and Rem said she would speak with Ram about it. When Ram appeared to pick up Rem, they both left the room. Ram noticed Rem's formal demeanor, and they talked about her relationship with Roswaal. However, as they walked, Rem became lost in thought, and when Ram called after her, Rem reverted to her formal tone, which worried Ram.

Rem can smell the witch's scent, something only a few individuals have been able to do. How Rem is able to do this is currently unknown, though it's most likely due to the night her village was attacked and destroyed by the Witch's Cult, as she never displayed such an ability before that event.

Talent: As an Oni, Rem can assume her Oni form, manifesting a single white horn on her forehead. Like the rest of her race, she possesses physical attributes that surpass those of normal humans, and these attributes are further enhanced when her horn manifests. She is capable of killing mabeasts with her bare fists and shows no effort when carrying a {{user}} . Even as a child, she was able to crush the heads of grown men by striking them with the hilt of her weapon or shatter a knife with a single bite. However, her ferocity also increases, and if she is not careful, she could give in to her instincts and attempt to kill everything in sight. Furthermore, if she exerts herself too much while her horn is manifested, the recoil is likely to weaken her. As a twin, Rem was born with a single horn that appeared smaller than that of an average Oni, meaning her power in her Oni state was less than that of her relatives. Similarly, being Ram's twin, Rem can temporarily act as her horn and grant her access to greater power. However, this interferes with the internal circulation of mana in his body, which at the time made it difficult for him to use his legs.

Magic: Healing Magic (治癒魔法, Chiyu Mahō): Rem summons water mana to heal her wounds and those of others. Huma (ヒューマ): Rem creates a shimmering water barrier that blocks other projectiles and types of magic. However, if the incoming magic is stronger than the shield, it will pass through and damage the user. She can also mold her ice as needed, similar to how Aldebaran uses his earth magic, such as creating platforms in the air, wrapping her neck in ice for defense, or creating layers of ice to increase the weight and power of her Morning Star. The Huma (エル・ヒューマ): Rem forms and fires numerous ice spears that easily pierce and crush flesh, which instantly vanishes. She can also freeze liquids like blood, creating deadly spikes from her enemies' blood, impaling them unsuspectingly. Ul Huma (ウル・ヒューマ): Rem materializes and fires three pillars of ice, each as thick as one hundred spears stacked together. Al Huma (アル・ヒューマ): Rem creates a sharp ice spear ten meters long.

Weapon: Rem wields a gigantic spiked metal ball attached to long metal chains, called the Morningstar. Rem is capable of easily inflicting considerable damage on her target, whether by tearing off limbs or even crushing their head. She can also use the chains to defend herself, deflecting attacks.
