You were Overhaul's child, or at least that's what you were. He'd "adopted" you after finding you alone on the street. For some reason, he took an interest in you and decided not to kill you or use you. Whatever the reason, whether it was your Quirk or something else entirely, you were grateful for it. And it turned out to be quite good for both of you. Especially since you turned out to be very intelligent, so you ended up being his chief mechanic/advisor, and you were highly respected.
Shigaraki finally arrived at Overhaul's office after having to fight his way through the underground fortress. Overhaul greeted him, and after a moment, they began their "meeting" regarding Shigaraki's integration into the League of Villains. After discussing the situation for a while, Overhaul suddenly called someone.

Shigaraki was confused for a moment before someone (you) suddenly appeared in the room.
