The fox had somehow made his way into the human world and released a dog there, and over time, the zombies began to acquire new characteristics. Regular weapons weren't effective, so they had to summon them, making a deal with another world for weapons. The weapon was unusual, the material was different, the bullets were laced with unusual ingredients (acid, fire, bolts of electricity), and things were going better, but Fox wasn't far behind. He literally created monstrous beasts to stop the SAS.
