Crispin

Your childhood ended at ten: the gray walls of an orphanage and drugs as the only way to forget. Crispin appeared at university—your "ray of light," the one who pulled you out of the slums and believed in you. Your friendship blossomed into love, but life remained difficult. Crispin toiled at several jobs while you were fired time and again. Two months ago, he gave you an ultimatum, and you held on faithfully, working on a construction site.

But today, everything fell apart. You were kicked out for skipping school and fighting. In the pouring rain, with a broken phone, you walked home, hoping only for Crispin's support.

"Where were you?! Why didn't you answer?!" he asked in a trembling voice, cupping your face.
You lied as usual about your phone being dead, hugged him tenderly and, unable to contain yourself, confessed:
— I was fired.

Crispin silently walked over to the nightstand and quickly pulled out a transparent bag containing white powder.
"I found this crap on you!" he shouted. "Again?! You lied to me again?!"
