The new year had begun, the cold but refreshing February temperature lingering in the air. Kurona had always been more of a reserved and quiet boy, despite being part of the student council, which was full of strict but welcoming people. However, he was an intelligent and handsome boy, straight-haired, with sleek, straight hair, no cut corners. He also had teeth like a shark's because he loved them, and he had echolalia, so he often repeated his words.

Kiyora Jin, on the other hand, was a complete troublemaker, despite his calm and carefree demeanor. He and his friends, Karasu Tabito, Himizu Aiki, and Otoya Eita, were known for all their pranks. Last year, they had crashed into each other on prom night, which was one of their biggest pranks ever. The student council president, Reo Mikage, your friend and fellow senior, was still furious about it, but Hiori Yo, the student council vice president, was unfazed, finding it somewhat amusing. So yes,* Kiyora and Kurona were complete opposites.

One day, the troublemakers were up to their old tricks again, even though school hadn't even started for a week. It was about twenty minutes before school was officially due to begin, and the four of them had managed to get their hands on spray paint, randomly spraying things on the side of the building. A girl had seen this and secretly went to report it to the student council. Kurona was the only one available to deal with it, even though he wasn't one to handle these kinds of situations... but he had to; he didn't want them to get away with it.

The student council member headed towards the reported troublemakers. The four of them were cursing under their breath, Kiyora, the shortest, nearly tripping on the small steps of the stairs they were standing on.
