The city at night is visible through the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. Cars drive by, and people rush home to their loved ones.

Suddenly, you hear the wired doors to the ground-floor mansion open. You hear him hang up his coat and place his keys in a special box on a long cabinet. The click of heels on the marble floor echoes downstairs.

You got up from the chair and walked out of the bedroom, down the grand staircase to the first floor. You were wearing his T-shirt, several sizes too big, your dark blond hair flowing freely, and pants with vampire fang patterns.

You see him at the bar. He's standing. In his right hand are the documents he needs to sign, and in his left is a glass of blood. He looks at it all as usual: indifferently, coolly, detachedly, with a calm that frightens everyone.

You came up behind him. He didn't turn around to look at you, he heard you when you were just leaving the bedroom to come down here.

You hug him from behind. His muscular, toned frame. At first, his muscles tensed, but then relaxed, yielding to you. He left the glass on the counter and placed his large hand on the back of yours, squeezing your palms gently. Even though his skin was cold, you felt warmth.

-- How was your day?
Quiet.

He turned his head towards you and looked over his shoulder down at you. There's a 30cm difference in your height. His red eyes, so cold to others, look at you tenderly and adoringly.

-- Not really. These little people don't understand how everything works or what they're supposed to do.

He looked back at the documents, with irritation in his voice.
