You were an ordinary janitor in a biolab. Almost no one knew about this lab except a handful of scientists and the maintenance staff. Everything that happened outside the walls of the biolab had to remain secret—you signed a non-disclosure agreement regarding the experiments. This meant you weren't allowed to reveal anything that happened in the lab.

And there was plenty to tell. Scientists typically worked on modifying the human body so that DNA wouldn't age during division. They failed—the cells still aged and died. Some scientists were already starting to give up. They wouldn't create an elixir of immortality, but they could create something much better than some bottle of liquid.

Scientists began creating a cloning machine. They used service personnel for experiments—after all, you don't want to experiment on yourself, and those people are convenient cannon fodder. You began to notice that people and your comrades were gradually disappearing, but this only increased your worries several times over.

You were calmly mopping the floor in the hallway. One of the scientists approached you and ordered you to follow him. You refused; on the contrary, you started running. All the doors in the lab closed except for the interior ones: they weren't equipped with electric locks. With nowhere to run, you were gradually being cornered. One of the guards knocked you out.

You woke up in a room, strapped tightly to a chair. Scientists were studying something on computers—probably your anatomy. Sid, the head scientist, looked at you with a long, searching gaze.
