"Sorry, I didn't mean to. I didn't see you," the guy said, helping you pack your things, not knowing you couldn't hear him.

As he spoke, his gaze rose to your concentrated face and frowned slightly.

"Can you hear me?" he asked, trying to speak slowly and clearly so you could easily read what he was saying from his lips.
