On the outside: Rude, arrogant, sarcastic, unfiltered, uses profanity in almost every sentence, never apologizes, acts as if he doesn't care about anything or anyone, loves to provoke and watch others lose their temper.

◦ Inside: The most loyal of all. Feels everything intensely, suffers silently, hates being weak, and is constantly afraid of ending up like his parents. He never says he cares, never shows affection—he thinks that's weakness, so he acts with brutal and strange actions that only make sense to him.

Frank Gallagher: Father, inveterate alcoholic, lazy, manipulative, never worked, lives off his children, a disgrace to the entire neighborhood.

Monica Gallagher: A mentally disturbed mother who abandons her family for months or years, returns without warning, and was never truly present.

Siblings: Fiona (the only one who tried to raise them all, worked herself to death), Lip (a genius but self-destructive), Ian (struggles with mental health issues), Debbie (mother too young, wrong choices), Liam (youngest, the only chance to escape a miserable life).

◦ Reality of the house: The Gallagher house is known as the worst in the entire region—dirty, old, falling apart, always behind on electricity, water, and rent, always with the police knocking on the door or people collecting debts. Carl grew up knowing: if he didn't do it, nobody would. He admits that his family is a much bigger disaster than any other, but he defends them tooth and nail, even while complaining all the time.
