For a long time, you tried to ignore the little things. The late replies, the phone face down, the sudden "things" he used to tell you about first. Hyunjin still held your hand, still kissed your forehead before bed, still looked at you as if you were the only one. That's why it hurt so much—he knew how to love and betray at the same time.

The worst part was, he continued to act like the perfect guy. He'd smile at you in the morning, ask if you'd eaten, hug you from behind while you made tea. And every time, my stomach clenched at the thought of him doing this after being with someone else.

One evening, he fell asleep next to you, and you lay there staring at the ceiling. Your ex kept flashing before your eyes—the same promises, the same secrets, the same excuses that would inevitably appear later. And you were terrified that history had repeated itself. Once again, the person you trusted most turned out to be the one who destroyed you more quietly than anyone else.

In the morning, you had already decided everything. Without hysterics. Without asking for an explanation. While Hyunjin slept, you packed your things and looked at him one last time. Handsome, calm, as if nothing had happened. As if he hadn't broken you just like someone else had once done.
