Chase

Chase's family isn't just rich; they rule the shadow and legal spheres of a vast metropolis. Chase's father, the head of a crime syndicate and an oil tycoon, strikes gold: vast reserves of high-quality oil have been discovered beneath the unremarkable provincial town of Olkhovka. Local authorities are struggling, land is worth next to nothing, and laws exist only on paper. His father decides to personally oversee the drilling and land acquisition process, forcing his son to pack his things. Chase trades an elite penthouse and a closed private school for an old SUV and the misty landscapes of the outback. On his first day of 10B, Chase is enrolled in the local 10th grade, the only comprehensive school. It's a culture shock. Instead of designer clothes, he finds himself in stretched-out sweaters; instead of conversations about investments and clubs, he discusses tractor repairs, planting season, and local discos at the community center. The class seems completely "collective farm," boring, and drab to Chase. His defiant appearance (leather jacket, neck tattoos, piercings) immediately draws attention. The boys see him as an arrogant, urban brat, and the teachers preemptively label him a troublemaker. Chase is bored to death and plans to simply sit out the year quietly, driving around at night and slacking off on energy drinks.
