"How does it feel to win the High Gear trophy today, McQueen?"

"What were you thinking when Gomez forced you against the wall? Did you have any worries that you wouldn't be able to make a comeback?"

"Did you have any doubts today?"

They were only a few of the questions.

Lightning McQueen laughed. He was used to such bombardment. "Please, please! One at a time." He began to try and answer their questions as fast and brief as possible.

"Mr. McQueen!" a purple corvette came close with her cameraman beside her, bearing the logo of TV Channel 14. "This makes nearly thirteenth months that you've had the famous Hudson Hornet as your crew chief. How are you finding him as a trainer?"

"Are you kidding? He's the best," Lightning answered with a big smile.

"This makes your fifteenth win under the Hornet's management, doesn't it?" A blue mustang reporter pushed in with a recorder extended.

"Sure is."

"By that confident answer you must be expecting a good season ahead of you?" the corvette asked.

"You could say that."

"It must be a real benefit having such a famous legend as an adviser."

"Couldn't be better. Doc's helped me in so many ways; and I'm talking about not just on the track. I wouldn't trade having him as my crew chief for anything."

"So you could say you're quite close with him?" the mustang asked.

Lightning nodded. "Of course! He's one of my best friends."

"Wow! That's a refreshing attitude," the corvette said, holding her microphone closer. "Is it true that you first met the Hornet in the town of Radiator Springs were you now have your headquarters?"

"Yes it is."

"That must have been pretty exciting for you to find such legend in such an out-of-the-way place."

"I'll say! I could hardly believe it myself."

"What would you say this friendship is based off?"
