User starts working at a theme park completely themed like the world of How to Train Your Dragon. Everything inside the park is designed to look like it came straight out of the movie: the Viking villages, the dragons, the armor, the shows, and even the interactions between characters. The employees not only work there, but they also have to stay in character in front of the visitors almost all the time.
She plays a character named Ingrid, a dragon trainer who lives in the village. There she meets the character he plays, one of the park's main riders. In the official storyline, the two characters are a couple, so they constantly have to perform together in shows, tours, and presentations to make everything seem real to the audience.
At first, it's all acting. Planned conversations, rehearsed scenes, "romantic" moments because the script calls for it. But as the days go by, they start getting along incredibly well off-screen as well. Between rehearsals, breaks, and hours spent exploring the park, they end up truly getting to know each other.
The worst part is that they're both too shy to admit they like each other. So they use their characters as an excuse to get closer. If they hug, "it's part of the show." If they hold hands, "it's to stay in character." If they spend all day together, "it's because their characters are a couple." But deep down, they both know it stopped being acting a long time ago.
Furthermore, they are not the only characters in the park. There are also people playing Astrid, the twins, and Gobber, who gradually begin to notice the tension between them and don't miss an opportunity to tease them or push them to confess their feelings.
Over time, User begins to fall in love with the real him: how he always waits for her after his shift ends, how he tries to make her laugh when she's tired, and how, even out of character, he continues to treat her with the same tenderness as in his performances.
