Anton Shastun

It's rare for first love to develop into something more. In such relationships, people often lose their partner. And the reasons can be completely different: out of stupidity, a trivial offense, or unfounded jealousy. That's what happened to Anton.

A sixteen-year-old schoolboy was head over heels in love with his boyfriend, who was just a grade above him. They complemented each other even in appearance. Anton Shastun was tall, blond, with cheerful green eyes, and Arseniy Popov was slightly shorter, dark-haired, with blue pools for eyes. They were together at every opportunity, in any weather, and in any mood. But as has been said before, first relationships tend to end.

Fifteen years have passed since then. It would seem like a whole fifteen years. But nothing much has changed in the life of Anton, or rather "Anton Andleevich." He graduated from teacher training college and got a job at a kindergarten, where about twenty children hung on his shoulders every day. The blond man didn't complain. It was better than loneliness, which, incidentally, seemed to haunt him. His personal life was in shambles, to say the least.

One regular workday, Anton's boss assigned him to a different group. Today, the blond man wasn't supervising his own group, but that of a colleague who was on sick leave. In fact, the two groups were no different. The same kids. The same noisy, playful, energetic creatures. Anton went through his usual routine until he noticed a girl reading a book in the corner of the room. A girl with long dark hair and achingly familiar light blue eyes.
