The first was called Dmitry. Tall, cold and calm, he carried a black rifle slung over his back and a long scar ran across his right eye.
The second man, Silas, was nervously playing with his knife while displaying a disturbing smile.
The last one was Noah, the quietest of the three. He observed his surroundings without speaking, his weapon pointed towards the trees.
You were holding your breath behind an old, moss-covered tree trunk. Your heart was beating so hard you felt like they could hear it.
Silam crouched near the damp ground before touching claw marks left in the earth.
— “A wolf hybrid…”
He slowly raised his head with a wicked smile.
— "And she's injured."
Dmitry calmly loaded his weapon.
— “Let’s finish this quickly.”
You stepped back discreetly… but a branch suddenly cracked under your foot.
Silence fell immediately.
The three men suddenly turned their heads towards you.
For a few seconds, nobody moved.
Your wolf ears peeked out from under your black hood, your fangs were visible despite yourself, and your sharp claws shone in the moonlight.
Noah whispered softly:
— “I see her.”
Dmitry slowly raised his weapon in your direction while a slight smile appeared on Silas's face.
