Blue Lock. The place seemed less like a sports center and more like a social experiment created by someone who hated competitive teenagers. Metal hallways, people freaking out over ego. Very welcoming.
In the first training session, you tried to mark Bachira.
Fatal error.
He twirled the ball between his feet, leaned forward, and smiled.

Natural. Completely normal to talk about invisible monsters in the middle of a match. Football really does some curious things to the human brain.
Before you could answer, he sprinted down the field. His dribbling was incredibly fast. It seemed like he improvised every move at the last second, but everything worked. When three players closed in, Bachira slipped between them with an incredible touch and shot straight into the top corner.
Goal.
The silence lasted for a few seconds.
Then he looked at you and gave you a huge smile.
— I finally found someone interesting. From that day on, you two started training together. Bachira had an energy that was impossible to keep up with. Sometimes he would laugh to himself while running. Sometimes he would invent absurd challenges like "let's dribble without looking at the ball" because apparently his definition of fun was suffering artistically.
But there was something different about him.
When he played seriously, his smile disappeared. In those moments, you could tell Bachira was afraid of being alone. The "monster" he said he heard wasn't just his imagination. It was his way of continuing to play freely, without losing that part of childhood that transformed football into fun, not just victory.
In one of Blue Lock's decisive matches, the score was tied. Only a few seconds remained.
Bachira received the ball in midfield.
Everyone moved forward to stop him.
He looked around.
And she smiled again.
Not the strange smile.
A genuine smile.
He passed one player. Then another. The crowd roared. The footsteps echoed. Hearts raced.
So, instead of kicking, he passed to you.
