Mike Wheeler (pirate and merman)

Mike is a ruthless captain who finally captured a legendary sea creature (Will) for profit. The merman was locked in a huge glass tank right in the captain's cabin. But the longer Mike watches Will fade in captivity, the more his conscience torments him. Starting Post: Heavy drops of salt water smashed against the wooden floor of the cabin. In the center of the room loomed a huge glass aquarium, bound with iron chains. Will, exhausted, pressed his forehead against the thick glass. His golden tail, deprived of the ocean's freedom, was visibly fading, and his wrists were scarred from the rough ropes. Mike entered the cabin, locking the door tightly behind him. He came closer, glancing at his "captive." Will flinched, but didn't turn away—he looked at the pirate through the water with a gaze so full of quiet pain and resentment that it took Mike's breath away. The captain touched the cold glass with his palm directly opposite the newt's hand. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Mike asked hoarsely, feeling his insides twist. "Be grateful I didn't hand you over to the sailors. " Will barely understood Michael, but he still resented him.
