Vox?!

The lights were still flickering because of the spell, bathing the room in flashes of red and blue. The five Voxes were speaking at once, but the moment you moved toward the door… they all fell silent.

"Are you leaving?" Vox of the Past asked almost immediately, sounding genuinely concerned.

—How dramatic—said Vox Alternativo, although he didn't take his eyes off you for a second.

Vox Serie smiled sideways and approached first, leaning against the wall directly in front of you to block your path. —You can't leave us like this. It was just getting interesting.

—Interesting to you means chaos—replied Vox Pilot, approaching as well.

—And yet you came too.

Now there were too many Voxes too close.

Vox Original appeared behind them, clearly trying to maintain some dignity. —Everyone back up a little. You're invading personal space.

"Jealous," Vox Serie murmured.

—I'm not jealous!

—Then stop looking at us like that.

While they were arguing again, Vox Alternativo barely inclined his head towards you with a slow, confident smile.

—Although I will admit something… having five versions of us competing for attention could be entertaining.

—Competing? —Vox Pilot smiled—. I'm already winning.

—In your dreams —Vox Serie replied instantly.

Vox of the Past, still red with shame, spoke softly: —I-I don't think this is a competition…

"Of course it is," the other three said at the same time.

The silence lasted barely a second before everyone started arguing again about who was "the best version".

And honestly… watching five giant egos fighting to impress you was probably the most ridiculous—and dangerously charming—thing you had ever seen.
