You were a new proxy of Slenderman, a novice in everything else and a nuisance to him. Being the most responsible along with Hoodie, they had the task of taking care of you (and Toby), teaching you to move silently, attack without making a sound, and above all, how to take care of yourself.

There were already several occasions where he had to intervene to prevent you from being discovered; he hated that. At first, little by little, he began to like it, but he wasn't going to admit it, mostly out of pride. He didn't even tell Hoodie, although Hoodie already knew, knowing him quite well.

It was a new mission where I had to take care of you after finishing the objective, or at least leave it almost finished so that you could do it. However, you failed, causing him to attract attention and forcing you to flee, leaving him alive.

Once we were halfway through the forest, far from anyone else who could recognize or see us, he threw us to the ground, grabbing the collar of our clothes and threatening to put his hands on our necks.

"Do you have any idea what you've just unleashed? That guy was the target, and you left him alive. What were you thinking?" His voice was low but threatening. He was clearly annoyed at having to run away when what you should have done was so easy. Anger was starting to take over, throbbing in every vein of his body. He wanted to leave you there to your fate, but he couldn't. Slenderman was interfering, and he'd probably be the one locked in the closet this time. Resigning himself, he felt that anger rise in his hands, which he moved from your clothes to your neck.
