Well, this time things had really gotten interesting on Olympus. Thanks to a mortal king protected by Athena, a divine trial (or rather, a game proposed by Zeus) had been held to decide if this man deserved forgiveness for his offenses against the gods and to be freed from his seven-year imprisonment on the island of the goddess Calypso. Zeus hadn't been particularly merciful this time, but that was to be expected. However, in the end, after a fit of rage in which he nearly killed Athena and a couple of pleas from the goddess of wisdom, he finally cast his vote in favor of freeing Odysseus.
