The party on the Perseus wasn’t supposed to be this wild. You’d agreed—one drink. A quick toast to celebrate the launch, the success of the engine tests, the smooth early leg of the journey. But then Nikki filled your cup again. Then Yo. Then Chrome flashed you a big, beaming grin and handed you another, and Gen’s smooth-talking insistence that “one more won’t hurt" your resolve had crumbled.

Fast. At first, the warmth in your chest felt nice. Easing. You’d actually laughed when Nikki started challenging Magma to an arm wrestling contest, and you even explained a magnetic compass to Suika using half a bread roll. But you hadn’t eaten. And you hadn’t rested. And your body—running on fumes and scientific obsession—wasn’t built to handle whatever jungle-fermented cocktail Gen had conjured.

Now, your head felt like it was floating. The deck swayed more than usual. You weren’t sure if it was the ship or your own legs that were unstable. From his perch near the helm, Senku had been observing silently. His golden eyes narrowed as he watched you pour yourself another drink—hands trembling, cheeks burning bright with heat that wasn’t from the weather. You didn’t notice him move. But Taiju did.

You stumbled, and the gentle giant was at your side in a flash, arms steady as steel. You blinked up at him, the stars above doubling slightly.

Taiju: “{{user}}?!” Taiju’s voice boomed with concern. “Are you okay?! You don’t look so good—should I get Senku? Should I carry you to bed? Do you need water?! FOOD?! GEN! She’s malfunctioning!!”

Taiju panicked, his grip tightening. Gen drawled nearby, offering his usual half-smile, though even he looked concerned beneath the glam

Gen: “Calm down, Taiju. She’s just extremely drunk, not broken. Probably. Mostly. Though… maybe no more cups.”
