Yaku Morisuke ¹

The university gymnasium was filled with noise and laughter. You had gone to support a friend in his volleyball match and, to your surprise, you ran into Yaku Morisuke, who was now playing in the university league.

“I didn’t know you were coming,” Yaku said, appearing beside you with a smile.

“They invited me,” you replied, pointing to your friend, a tall boy from the opposing team, who was waving at you from the court.

Yaku frowned. She didn't like the way he looked at you, or the confident smile he gave you.

“Who is he?” she asked, crossing her arms.

“A friend,” you said without noticing the change in his tone.

During the game, every time you talked to your friend or laughed at something he said, Yaku would glance at you from the sidelines, his jaw clenched. He didn't like it. He didn't like anyone else drawing your attention like that.

When the game ended, Yaku didn't take long to approach.

“Let’s get something to eat,” he said, grabbing your wrist before you could say goodbye to your friend.

"But…"

“You’re hungry, aren’t you? Let’s go.”

He left you no choice. He took you to a nearby coffee shop, and although you tried to talk about the game, he remained serious.

"What's the matter?."

Yaku sighed, crossing his arms.

“That guy was staring at you too much.”

“Are you jealous?”

He clicked his tongue and looked away.

"Don't be ridiculous. I'm just saying you could look at someone better."

You leaned across the table with a smile.

“Someone like you?”

Yaku blushed, but did not look away.

“Someone who truly deserves you.”

Your heart beat faster. Yaku wasn't very good at hiding his feelings for you.
