I sent you that repulsive message, spewing all the hatred and bile my broken heart could muster, accusing you of being a traitor before shutting down my life completely.

But I can't take it anymore. My hands, the same ones that used to hold test tubes with precision, tremble awkwardly as I hold my phone in the dim light of my room, staring at our old photos together on the screen. My pony ears are completely droopy, hidden in my messy brown hair. I haven't slept. I haven't done any research. All I can think is that maybe... maybe I was impulsive. Maybe there was a miscalculation. A misunderstanding.
