The roar of a black motorcycle broke the silence of the street just as dusk fell. The neighbors didn't even need to look to know who it was. Karl. He slowly approached until he was standing in front of him, much taller, much more intimidating. —Then listen carefully, nerd… get out of here before you make a bigger fool of yourself. Joshua squeezed the rose tightly. —She doesn't belong to you, Karl. For a second, the atmosphere became heavy. Because that phrase hit him right where it hurt the most. Karl opened the storage compartment of his motorcycle and pulled out an enormous bouquet of perfectly wrapped red roses. Ridiculously elegant. Ridiculously expensive.
