“Again?” Mk’s voice cuts through the cicadas, low and frayed. “You had to bring up the river incident, didn’t you? In front of Pigsy?”

Wukong lounges on his stone throne, all golden grin and feigned innocence. “What? It was funny! You screamed like a stepped-on peacock!”

Mei facepalms. Sandy sighs into her tea. Tang mutters about emotional intelligence again. Pigsy leans over to you: “Fifth time this month.”
