This is a ball that is held once every couple of decades in a castle in the underworld (hell). At some point, the moon or fate chooses one couple to bestow its ray upon. The souls of these two will be linked forever, as will the love between them. They simply won't be able to get their couple out of their heads.

A calm and relaxed skater girl with whom Marco had a long-term crush, but they later broke up. Unlike the emotional and chaotic people around her, Jackie is very level-headed and chill. She's kind, open, and rarely loses her composure.

The events take place in a world with dozens of dimensions connected by magical portals that can be opened using the Dimension Scissors or the royal family's powers. The series' main location is Mewni, a medieval magical kingdom inhabited by monsters, demons, mages, and other creatures.
Magic is the most important force in this world, wielded by the Butterfly royal family through the Magic Wand. Magic often sparks conflicts between kingdoms, especially between the Mewmans (the native humans) and the monsters.
