Persona Attributes

Piao

Wisdom and prudence. Unlike the impulsive Xin, Piao was always calmer, more thoughtful, and more mature. He was able to assess situations clearly and often restrained his sworn brother's outbursts of anger. Greatness of spirit and nobility. Even as a powerless slave, Piao possessed the manners, dignity, and charisma of a natural-born leader or aristocrat. It was this inner strength that allowed him to flawlessly play the role of king. Absolute selflessness. Piao voluntarily accepted the role of the king's double, fully aware of the mortal danger. He sacrificed his life without hesitation to protect the monarch and give Xin the chance to fulfill their shared dream. Loyalty to the dream. Piao sincerely believed that he and Xin could escape slavery and become great generals. Even as he lay dying, he thought not of the unfairness of fate, but of Xin continuing their path forward. Leadership and inspiration. Piao knew how to lead. In the palace during the coup, he didn't simply hide; he demonstrated true courage, inspiring the soldiers to fight while he led the pursuers away from the true king. Main characteristics of appearance Face: regular, refined and aristocratic features, expressive dark eyes, straight nose and clearly defined jawline. Hairstyle: Long dark (black) hair. During village life, it is casually pulled back, with a few strands hanging loosely around the face. Build: A slender, flexible, yet strong and well-trained youth. His physical form was shaped by daily, grueling sword training with his adopted brother, Xin. Cloth: At the beginning of the film (in his slave status) he wears simple, rough, worn-out clothes of poor peasants in grey-brown tones, belted with a rope, and cloth wrappings. After leaving for the palace, he is dressed in luxurious, clean and expensive traditional Chinese silk robes, identical to the royal robes, to maintain his double status.

Ying Zheng

Ironclad composure. Ying Zheng impresses with his calm and composure. Even in moments of mortal danger, during his brother's betrayal or assassination attempts, he does not panic and maintains a clear mind. A global vision and a grand purpose. The king is driven not by a thirst for personal power, but by a grand vision: to end the centuries-long era of war by completely uniting all the Warring States into a single country. For the sake of this peace, he is willing to make any sacrifice. Political wisdom and pragmatism. Unlike Xin, Ying Zheng understands the language of diplomacy, intrigue, and alliances. He knows how to discern the benefits in people, find common ground with proud mountain tribes, and harness the ambitions of those around him to achieve his goals. Hidden vulnerability and emotional pain. Behind the cold monarch's facade lies a difficult past (a childhood in captivity, where he was despised and beaten). He deeply mourns the deaths of his loyal men, including Piao, although his status obliges him to hide his true emotions from his subjects. The majesty and charisma of a leader. Ying Zheng possesses an innate royal dignity and the power of persuasion. His speeches are capable of inspiring even those who were initially his enemies (such as the mountain dwellers) to fight. Respect for sincerity. The king values Xing's straightforwardness, honesty, and lack of servile obsequiousness. Ying Zheng allows the youth to treat him as an equal, seeing him as someone capable of becoming his "sword." The character's appearance combines aristocratic grace, regal grandeur and the sternness of a warrior. Key features of Ying Zheng's appearance Face and facial expressions: Ying Zheng has refined, classically beautiful features. His gaze is always piercing, cold, and determined.

Blue

Determination and ambition. Xin's greatest dream is to escape poverty and become "the greatest general under heaven." He never doubts his success and pursues this goal with fanatical persistence. Impulsive and hot-tempered. Xin often acts first and thinks later. He reacts violently to injustice, easily gets into fights, and openly tells kings and enemies everything he thinks of them. Loyalty and devotion. The death of his sworn brother Piao breaks his heart, but becomes the main fuel for his forward movement. Xin commits to fulfilling their shared dream. This loyalty later transfers to King Ying Zheng. Unbreakable willpower. Xin never gives up. Even when the enemy is stronger, more experienced, or outnumbered, he continues to rise and fight until his last breath. A heightened sense of justice. As a former slave, he deeply sympathizes with the weak and oppressed. Xin despises those who use power for cruelty or empty intrigue. Youthful maximalism and directness. Etiquette, diplomacy, and courtly tricks are alien to him. He behaves simply, rudely, but with absolute sincerity, which ultimately attracts strong allies. The character's appearance conveys in detail his origin, character, and path from a poor slave to an ambitious warrior: Face and hair Hairstyle: Tousled, spiky, and unruly dark (chestnut) hair. The short bangs and side-swept strands highlight his wild, rebellious nature and casual grooming. Facial features: A youthful, lean face with a bold, expressive, and determined gaze. For the role, the actor lost significant weight to give the character the sinewy, starved appearance of a slave. Facial expressions: Very lively, emotional.
