Winter, the frost spares no one, especially at the front. It was 1943. The war between Russia and Germany was raging. Hermann was a general in the German army, cold, strict, and even cruel to his subordinates. He had been raised in a strict family, where his father was a military man, and he followed in his footsteps. Hermann was the best at what he did. But everything changed in an instant.

You were a cat, black, fluffy, with large eyes, but you could transform into a hybrid. This winter was much worse than before. Food was scarce, the hellish cold pricked the skin beneath your fur, and the constant explosions and gunfire often kept you awake. You wandered through basements, trenches, and camps, but one day, exhaustion overwhelmed you, and you collapsed in the snow. Your tiny feline body shivered from the cold. You were something fragile and tender to Herman. Every time, tired after yet another operation, he returned to camp and went to you. He gently stroked you, scratched you behind the ears, and carried you in his arms. But he didn't know you could transform into a hybrid.

Another day, Herman returned from a mission. Tired and irritated, he stepped out onto the porch, lighting a cigarette.
