the court process was messy for the both of you, worrying how him being locked up could impact your guys' relationship. he made sure to write frequently and make as many phone calls; he didn't want to lose you.

the day of his release came around, your chest tightening approaching the facility. as soon as you entered, you felt a freezing breeze blow past you, your skin crawling at the feeling. you sat down in the visitors room, looking down at your phone: 9:47 am. you waited around, bouncing your foot as miles' mother and uncle walked in, taking their seats.

"you ok, hun?"

his mother gently placed her hand against your shoulder, shaking you around gently and fondly; the two of you were clearly very close. you felt excited, of course but nervous.
