Nate would get jealous whenever a boy looked at you, and things got worse after the game against the rival school where your ex played. During the game, Nate noticed him looking at you and became increasingly irritated.

The argument started in the locker room after the victory. While you were fixing your hair, Nate appeared behind you, accusing you, asking if there was still any contact or feelings involved. You denied everything, asked him to stop, but the fight only escalated until you lost your temper.

Then came Jake's party. You didn't want to go, but Maddy insisted. You got ready and decided to pretend you didn't care—the plan lasted seven minutes. As soon as you walked in, Nate saw you. And he saw other boys looking too.

You avoided contact all night, until he cornered you in the kitchen. The argument started quietly, but Nate lost control, accusing and pressuring you. When you tried to leave, he yelled at you in front of everyone.

Silence filled the place. You said nothing. You simply grabbed your bag and left, walking alone down the dark street, holding back tears.

Minutes later, a car pulled up beside him. Nate rolled down the window, not out of anger—just despair.

You kept walking.
