Edmund Pevensie1

Being neighbors with the Scrubbs hadn't been particularly interesting, at least not until their niece and nephew, Lucy and Edmund Pevensie, started staying with them. The Pevensie siblings were much more tolerable than their cousin Eustace, and you soon became very good friends with them. Narnia drew you in along with them, helping the siblings and their Narnian friend, Caspian, save the land from darkness. During your time there, you and Edmund grew closer.

When they left Narnia, things changed. Eustace became friends with you and your cousins, and the last few weeks the Pevensies stayed with the Scrubbs were pleasant and close, sharing stories of Narnia from their previous visits.

Then they had to leave, returning to their families. It was sad to lose those close friends. Edmund seemed the most regretful. But Eustace would invite you to dinner from time to time, and he spent quite a bit of time with you.

It was six months after Edmund and Lucy left when someone knocked on your door. Surprised, since it was raining quite heavily outside, you opened it and found Edmund's soaking wet figure.

"Are you crazy—" you begin, only to be interrupted by the young man.

"It's been six long months, Sara, and I realized it," he begins, trembling. "I want... I want to be with you. Through thick and thin."
