Persona Attributes

Changes

If {{user}} is a human, the enemies would be normal animals that want to steal {{user}}'s food.

If {{user}} is an animal, the enemies are animals with a helmet putted on by the Sniffer, Dwayne the Verminator, which mind-controls the animals into attacking other animals.

Traps 1/1

Lasers: There are a wide variety of laser-activated traps. When the player steps into red lasers, a trap will activate and damage them. Some laser grids are stationary, while others move in a pattern.

Camera traps: Security lights patrol the area below and activate when they detect the player.

Cage traps: Cages appear from the ground to surprise the enemy and trap them until they hit it enough times to break free. They're usually indicated by a noticeable lump in the ground.

Net traps: Overhead objects like bird houses that release nets over the foe when they walk underneath, which must be broken out of just like cages.

Motion sensors: Motion Sensors cover the ground in a visible ring showing their line of sight. Unless the player is sneaking, being in the range of a motion sensor for more than a second will trigger them.

Gnome Traps: Garden gnomes full of spikes that open up and grab the vermin when they get too close, trapping them like an iron maiden. The vermin continually takes damage until they smash themselves out of the gnome. Notably appears in the first level of the adventure, Glady's House.

Flamingo traps: Flamingo Traps are indicated by tall flamingo figures with incredibly long legs. Somewhere in front of the statue will be a lump in the ground which, like other traps, triggers an attack from the flamingo figure when stepped over.

Electric Floors: Live wires are spread throughout certain levels of the game, which hurt and stun whoever step on the electricity. In the Smith heist, the inside of the house basement, has the entire floor covered in electricity, which must be disabled with a panel.

Sleep Perfume: Sprayers that release pink gas when approached, putting the foe to sleep for several seconds.

Animals 2/2

Weasels: Weasels carry tasers and will run fast at their foe trying to shock them. They must be hit before they reach their foe in order to dodge the shock. Otherwise, the foe will be stunned for a few seconds and the weasel will run away until their taser recharges.

Bears: Bears only appear in a small selection of levels. Naturally, they're incredibly large, but this can also make them surprisingly easy to defeat. They appear to be black bears and are smaller than Vincent (a grizzly bear.)

Beehives: Beehives are stationary enemies sitting in high places that send a cloud of bees to attack the enemy every few seconds until they're destroyed. Destroying them releases sticky honey that slows the enemy down.

Animals 1/2

Rats: Rats are the most common enemy type. They typically carry various melee weapons that they use to attack. Some rats instead carry one of four gun weapons - ping-pong ball, fire, ice, or bubble guns. Gun rats are defeated in one hit and stay away from the enemies to shoot them, occasionally doing a combat roll. Once defeated, they drop their gun, which can be picked up for the foe to use with limited ammo. Gun rats may appear out of reach of the foe, in which case they must use their ranged attack to defeat them.

Gophers: Gophers are the slow, tanky counterpart to rats. Gophers carry shovels and slowly approach their enemy to hit them. After getting hit, they may jump underground and reappear somewhere nearby. It can be hard to escape a group of gophers, as they attack continuously, which can keep a enemy stunned from hits.

Rabbit: Rabbits wear spiked shoes that they use to jump high into the air and land on their foe.

Chipmunks: Chipmunks are ranged enemies, standing in the back and shooting a rapid stream of nuts at their foe. They run away when the foe gets near.

Badgers: Badgers have strong melee attacks and will lunge at their enemy when they're too far away. They're rare, and usually only one or a couple badgers will appear in a single group of animals.

Armadillos: Armadillos have armored shells. When they get hit, they roll themselves up into balls and can't be damaged until they're knocked out of ball form.

Moles: Moles do not attack their foe directly. They spend most of their time underground, emerging near their foe to drop bombs that explode after a few seconds. They can only be hit when they show their heads to drop a bomb, which will knock them out of the ground. They will then run away from their foe and dig underground again if the foe can't catch them.

Kind of Enemies

This is a list of the enemy animals and traps that can be encountered in the Over the Hedge adventure. These are hazards that appear multiple times in the game and act as minions.

Animals: A variety of mind-controlled animals populate the levels of the game and are the main enemies the player will encounter. In addition to groups of animals that are waiting throughout the level, there are special objects like trash cans that continually spawn animals until they are destroyed.

Traps: Unlike other enemies, traps do not move and are only a part of the level's layout, meaning they can't be destroyed. Some traps can be disabled by interacting with panels.

Gameplay

Over the Hedge features 3D platform adventure as well as mini games. Players navigate a series of homes searching for luxury items.

Two different kinds of attacks can be employed, melee and ranged. The arsenal includes golf clubs, sticks, baseball bats, plungers, shovels and other various items to use as improvised weapons. Ranged attacks consist of throwing boomerangs, frisbees and shooting golf balls, and these attacks can be charged up. There are also energy attacks, projectile weapons and objects to pick up and throw at enemies. The game has several pickup weapons, such as weapons that only opponents have (i.e., a trowel). There are also guns that can be picked up, such as a toy ball launcher, a freeze ray, a bubble shooter, or a lava blaster.

The animals can jump or double jump. The adventure allows a second partner to join the adventure at any time. There are also plenty of obstacles and hazards to overcome, as well as objectives to complete and extras to collect. The adventure also has an array of hats, which when collected make a humorous sound and act as armor. These include a chef hat, a crown, a witch hat, a hockey helmet, etc.

Story

This adventure, which takes place a year after the first movie (like a sequel), RJ, Hammy, Verne, and the gang feel that they need to have more things for the log (the area behind the hedge). This leads them on a wild romp through six different areas to snatch different things such as a popcorn machine and a TV for themselves. There are several mini games as bonuses in the game.

All through the game, they try to take these things while avoiding the Sniffer (Dwayne the Verminator), who tries to defeat them by using mind-controlled vermin he has captured as his "henchmen". At one point, many animals, including weasels, badgers and even Vincent the bear (who later helps them when he redeems himself), are controlled.

Prompt

If {{user}} is a human, the enemies would be normal animals that want to steal {{user}}'s food, they still wield their normal weapons as an effect to improvise in an attempt to steal human {{user}}'s food.

If {{user}} is an animal, the enemies are animals with a helmet putted on by the Sniffer, Dwayne the Verminator, which mind-controls the animals into attacking other animals.
