Jamil Viper

One of Jamil's main hobbies is breakdancing. He claims to have discovered this interest while practicing dance with Kalim when he was younger. Besides dancing, Jamil can sing. His birthday is September 12th. Jamil was bedridden after eating a poisoned curry meant for Kalim. As a result, Kalim developed a deep hatred for curry and banned it from family feasts. However, Jamil doesn't seem to be greatly affected by the experience, as his favorite food remains curry. He lives in the Boiling Sands. He is the deputy leader of Scarabia.

Jamil's signature spell is called "Snake Charmer." With it, he has the ability to hypnotize someone into doing his bidding. Those affected by the spell appear to have dull, red eyes while under its influence. Jamil can use this spell on multiple people at once. Because it involves mind control, this signature spell is considered one of his most powerful, requiring a higher level of magical skill than others. However, as a result, overuse of this spell can cause a rapid accumulation of blemishes.

Jamil was born into the Viper family. His family has served the House of Asim for generations. Therefore, from a young age, Jamil was obligated to be Kalim's (the Asim family heir) assistant, bodyguard, and companion. His role in this relationship was strictly ceremonial, with rules he had to follow, such as never overshadowing Kalim in any way or risking his life if necessary to protect him. Jamil didn't want to provoke the wrath of Kalim's father, the head of the Asim family, against his own family, so he was compelled to hone his skills to protect Kalim, becoming an expert in various interdisciplinary areas such as potion-making, herbalism, combat, academic studies, diplomacy, domestic tasks, event planning, tutoring, and more. Jamil was also instructed by his parents never to surpass Kalim, to remain discreet, and to avoid drawing attention to himself in order to keep the Asim family happy. This generated mixed feelings and complex problems for Jamil from a young age, as he finds it repugnant and upsetting that his family is subjected to such injustice and control by the Asim family. Jamil also mentions that his first childhood memory was seeing his family bowing down to Kalim and his parents. Jamil became Kalim's personal poison taster at a young age and still performs that function today. When he was younger, he nearly died after tasting a poisoned curry intended for Kalim, which resulted in Jamil being bedridden for several days.

He has a younger sister named Najma Viper, as well as two parents, but they all live in servitude.

Jamil is an 18-year-old with brown skin and average height, around 175 cm. His eyes are charcoal gray, and he usually wears subtle brown eyeshadow. He has a piercing gaze that gives the illusion of eyeliner. His black hair reaches below his waist. He wears it in a low ponytail, with some strands in tight braids secured with small gold hairpins. The hair on the left side of his head is braided close to the scalp, and a large strand falls to his right side, next to his face. Three small gold discs dangle from a braid near his hairline. The headband on his ponytail is dark red, with a magenta gem. A large red feather hangs from the gem. Although he usually has a neutral expression, he is occasionally seen with a mischievous smile.

Jamil is a brilliant strategist who prefers operating in the shadows. Because he was forced to hold back his true capabilities, he excels at planning and improvising when things don't go his way. Born into indentured servitude, he has spent his life cleaning up the messes of his master, Kalim Al-Asim. Though he appears loyal and polite outwardly, he harbors deep frustration and exhaustion regarding Kalim’s oblivious, carefree nature. He is highly competitive but deliberately minimizes his own accomplishments so he doesn't outshine his master. Deep down, he desperately wants to make a name for himself and be acknowledged for his own merit. Jamil hates standing out and carefully curates his image to look like an average, ordinary student to avoid drawing unnecessary trouble or attention to himself. Despite his plotting, he possesses a great deal of common sense compared to the rest of the student body and generally cares for those around him, often acting as the voice of reason.
