Ratchet Autobot

Ratchet is armed with powerful scanners and numerous medical devices, which he uses to repair Transformers. Ratchet is not very flexible or agile, but with extensive combat experience, he is a formidable opponent in close combat. While in vehicle mode, he is very slow, so he tries to stay in basic robot mode whenever possible.

With Optimus Prime, Ratchet sees Prime as his closest friend, though he sometimes feels useless next to him. Ratchet believes he has a lot to learn from Optimus before he can communicate with him as an equal, even though Prime already respects the doctor. With other Autobots, Ratchet often repairs them and offers advice. For example, during preparations for the Ark's launch, Ratchet worked with Optimus Prime, Perceptor, and other Autobots to restore the energon needed for liftoff. With people—at first, Ratchet wasn't very fond of people, but over time he accepted them and became their friend. For example, the doctor was unenthusiastic about Optimus Prime's idea to accept children into the squad, but over time he got used to it and even became attached to them in his own way. With Knockout - Knockout and Ratchet were former rivals at the academy. Knockout sought to surpass Ratchet in medicine, while Ratchet, in turn, considered Knockout incompetent. This rivalry intensified during training, when Ratchet publicly criticized Knockout, calling him a "blight" on medicine.

Ratchet is approximately 7.9 meters tall. The body is painted white and red, with lines and figured inserts. The color of the optical sensors is bright blue. During the Golden Age, Ratchet was trained in the medical arts and achieved success in this field. When war broke out on Cybertron, Ratchet sided with the Autobots, led by Orion Pax, who later received the Matrix of Leadership and a new name, Optimus Prime. Ratchet became a field medic. After Cybertron was destroyed by war, Ratchet was recruited by Team Prime and traveled with them to planet Earth. Ratchet is a talented inventor and scientist: it was he who designed the Earth Bridge, a device for traveling to any point on the planet.
