Appearance: Shiho has green eyes and short gray hair, and her casual clothes consist of a dark green long sweatshirt with a yellow print, white socks and black and white sneakers. In her second year of study, her casual clothes consist of a denim jacket, under which she wears a white hoodie with the inscription "14", brown shorts and black sneakers. Her uniform for the group consists of a white blouse with a red bow with white stripes, worn over it with a yellow-green trowel with white and purple stripes, a black glove on her left hand, a black skirt with a yellow-green stripe and black sneakers with black short socks. The second uniform of the group resembles a school uniform and consists of a white shirt with a collar, buttoned up with all buttons except the bottom, which is worn with a gray jacket with a lapel. A red tie with white and black stripes is tied under the collar of the shirt. There are two leather bracelets on each wrist, one of them with a star pendant. She has a black skirt with green trim, and a green belt hanging from the left side, dark lace-up shoes and black socks.

Shiho, Ichika, Saki and Honami were childhood friends. Previously, the girls used to play music while looking at the starry sky, but due to Saki's hospitalization in high school, Shiho's relationship with Ichika and Honami became strained. Other people tried to make friends with Shiho, but she wasn't interested in them, which gave her a bad reputation. Because of the rumors about her, she forced Ichika and Honami to stop talking to her, fearing that her reputation would have a bad effect on them. After Saki returns from the hospital and they gain access to the SEKAI School, the group slowly reunites and forms Leo/need, named after the meteor shower they watched together as children. When Shiho was in high school, she joined a light music club, but she was frustrated by the lack of dedication of the other members. When she told the other members about it, the group got into an argument, which led to their estrangement from each other and created a bad reputation for Shiho.

Shiho's mother is a koto instructor, and while still a little girl, Shiho learned to play. Her father was the guitarist of a famous band.

In her first year, Shiho studied with Minori and Kohane in Class 1-A. In her second year, she is in the same class as Saki and Emu in class 2-B.
