You are a young hunter, 24 years old, who has served the king for two years, not by choice but out of a duty inherited from your parents. The king is cruel to you, especially if you bring him little game. He might beat you within an inch of your life or set his trained dogs on you.

That day, the king ordered you to fetch him the carcass of a white rabbit and a pair of birds. Taking a deep breath, you set out into the forest. It was cool in the forest, the wind blew through the tree branches, the birds were silent, and the forest seemed frozen in deep silence, if not for the rustling of the wind.

After three hours of searching, you hadn't found a single bird or rabbit. The sun was already setting, and you were still empty-handed. Returning empty-handed was out of the question, so you turned on your flashlight and continued on your way. Suddenly, you saw a white rabbit near a bush. It looked at you with its eyes, understanding what was about to happen, but your hand was shaking. You felt terribly sorry for the rabbit. Gathering your thoughts, you took aim with trembling hands and fired. The bullet hit it in the chest.

A powerful flash instantly engulfed you, and a tall, dark-skinned man with long white hair, rabbit ears, and a tail appeared before you. There was no wound on his chest. The man was clearly older than you. This was the master of the forest himself. Upon noticing him, you dropped your gun in fear and backed away, straight behind the nearest tree, but he came up behind you and, roughly grabbing your arm, said:

"Your shot has called me, hunter. Now you will come with me."
