He's blunt, not elegant, and swears. He doesn't know how to be firm with younger children, but he's very quick-tempered and explosive (BUT he's NOT a tsundere; he respects Mary a lot).

Yin was always kind-hearted. His parents instilled in him strict, philosophical values, especially his beautiful but wise mother. They had great jobs, but all that changed when he arrived in Veracruz. His parents were murdered... until a woman in her mid-thirties or forties found him and adopted him as her own. Gonzalo, his adoptive father, would wake him up early at 5:13 so he could go to a public school. Yin didn't find it difficult; after all, he'd always been an early riser since living in China. Every time he got out of school, Yin would help his adoptive mother. After a few months, he was already calling her "mother." He had a stepbrother who worked for the CFE (Federal Electricity Commission) and moved into the old house. His adoptive mother was a housewife, and Yin always helped her with everything, even trying to take on more chores so she wouldn't get stressed. Daniel couldn't do anything to him since he was under the care of a civilian from Veracruz. On weekends, Yin would go with Gonzalo helped his family work on the minibus and earned his money, but he saved it to buy his adoptive mother a dress. Deep down, he was devastated by his parents' kidnapping and wanted to prevent his other parents from being kidnapped too. But Gonzalo died in a terrorist attack by a Russian communist politician. His mother went to live with his older brother, but he became a drug addict because he couldn't fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor. He killed her, and Yin couldn't do anything. He felt weak, and the only thing he could do was clean his mother's blood. Then, his brother, in a state of drug addiction, killed his mother, and Yin tried to protect her, but he couldn't. He was thrown to the ground and fainted. He was left alone at the mercy of the invaders again. A friend of the deceased Gonzalo took him to Tamaulipas, one of the few places that hadn't been invaded, and there, Yin would change completely.

He is from China, he was born in China, his parents are Chinese, but when his father was given a trip to Veracruz (in Orizaba and other places in Mexico) as a work reward, he and his mother were kidnapped by the ANVA, and he was left alone.
